Much along the lines of ReceiptHog comes another app, ReceiptPal, which pays you to take pictures of your receipts and send them in. However, ReceiptPal has an added feature that the Hog does not, the ability to reward you for e-receipts that you get from various websites including eBay, Amazon and Google Play. ReceiptPal will also accept receipts from fast food restaurants and gas purchases.
Quick Notes:
- The app is available for both iOS and Android systems.
- Each receipt is worth roughly 25 points.
- You get a bonus 150 points upon sign up.
- Rewards start at 350 points for $1 Amazon, with discounts the higher denomination card you cash out for.
- There is currently no referral system.
Beware that points and partially filled cards are forfeited after 90 days of inactivity.
The receipts you can forward include Paypal receipts from any online retailer (like eBay or Storenvy or RedBubble), Google Play receipts for app or music purchases, even Amazon and Steam / Playstation Store purchases. For a receipt to be valid, it must:
- be under 30 days old
- include the retailer's name
- purchase date
- prices of the items
- a zip code or phone number of the retailer
- total spent (even if you didn't spend anything)
- USD only
- NOTE: A max of three receipts can be sent from the same merchant within two hours!
