How To: Muting Individual Chrome Tabs

If you run a lot of video sites as an earner, you probably know how annoying it is to go and mute each video or to have to mute your entire browser just for a few tabs. Well, you no longer have to! Chrome has a native tab muter that just needs to be enabled for use.

To do this, in your address bar type: chrome://flags/#enable-tab-audio-muting
You'll be redirected to a page of Chrome options, with the one typed in highlighted in yellow (like below):


Then enable the highlighted option. You will then need to restart Chrome (there is a button at the bottom you can press to do this automatically.) Then the next time you reopen Chrome, tabs that are making noise will display a small speaker next to the 'x'. Just click it and the tab will be muted! Simple as that!
