CrowdFlower: Tips For Getting the Most Out of It

Someone on InstaGC wanted some help with CrowdFlower and I figured I may as well share this with all of you!

First off, make sure you register an account with them. This will keep track of all the hits you do and your accuracy at them, thereby boosting your credibility with CrowdFlower and eventually opening up the way for bigger and better tasks. It also allows you to receive bonuses when applicable and report bad or broken tasks if you ever get them.

CrowdFlower tasks change almost daily (so you never will run out, unless you hit your work/task limit*) and the more you do them, the better the tasks you can get in the future. I personally only check CrowdFlower for the 20+ pt tasks which are usually simple surveys. You may have to go back a few pages of tasks, but there tend to be two or three every week. The key to CrowdFlower is patience, as the longer you use it, the better the tasks available to you.

*Hitting your work limit just means that the task you were working on has limited the amount of times a single person can complete it. This number varies anywhere from once to hundreds / thousands of times.
